KẾT QUẢ NGHIÊN CỨU VÀ PHÁT TRIỂN KỸ THUẬT CHE PHỦ RƠM RẠ CHO SẢN XUẤT LẠC Ở MIỀN BẮC VIỆT NAM

From 2006 to present, the Center for Technology Development and Agriculture Extension - Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences has conducted researcheas and developed mulching techniques by organic cover (rice straw) for peanut production in the Northern provinces of Vietnam. So far this technique has been applied by many localities in the Northern provinces on a large scale. The advantage of this technique is simple, easy to do, low cost, and it is easy to take full advantages of available resources of rice straw and agricultural by-products in agricultural production and environmental friendly. Peanut yield of straw covered in the study was higher than the non- covered peanuts from 17 to 50% in both spring and autumn and winter seasons. Moreover, straw covered peanuts will give higher economic efficiency than the none covered peanut (the controls) from 16.0 to 23.5 million VNĐ/ha and saving more than plastic coverage from 8.2 to 11.0 million/ha.
