KẾT QUẢ NGHIÊN CỨU CHỌN TẠO GIỐNG LÚA THUẦN PB53

Rice variety PB53 was selected from combination betwwen N46 and BT13 by pedigree method during 2008-2010. It has some good characterestics such as: short duration: 100-110 days in summer season, semi-dwarf culm, high yield (65 quintal per ha in Spring season and 60-65 quintal per ha in Summer season), and good quality with low amylose content of 18, 38%. PB53 also expressed good resistance to some major pests and diseases in the field: stem borer; brown planthopper; blast disease; blight sheath; Xanhthomonas oryzea. Especially, conducted experiment results in 2010-2013 showed that yield of PB53 was high and stable in ecosystem conditions of northern mountainous region. PB53 also was tested through VCU system and determined as a good agronomic characteristic, potential and high yield variety.
