Studying of definition the cycle for water irrigation on lately ripen robusta coffee clones in Daklak province
Lately ripe robusta coffee clones, they are harvested later than normal ripen robusta coffee clones, so that they need longer time to help the flower buds getting full differentiation to synchronize the flowering and riping. The study to define suitable cycle irrigating for lately ripen robusta coffee clones is necessary to help the coffee growers harvesting easily and increase the effective economics. Besides, the late irrigation did not affected growing and developing as well as bean productivity. The results from studying of irrigation on the lately ripe robusta coffee clones in Daklak province shown that the 35 day-irrigation cycle didn't affect the flowering and fruiting prosess as well as yield of coffee plant. Among experiment clones are optimum IV 2/1 clone. The total average coffee bean productivity in three consecutive years of the lately ripen robusta coffee clones in the late cycle (35 days) increased 6.12% in comparison to the normal cycle (25 days), the effective economic whereby increased 5.55 million VND. In addition, the later irigating cycle for lately ripen robusta cofee clones also saved at least one irrigation time in the dry season, therefore it reduced the input cost in cofee cultivation and increased the output for the cofee growers.
