The genotypes and environment interection (GxE) of the promising rice varieties under acid sulphate soils in Dong Thap Muoi in 2014
Since 2010, Agricultural Research and Development Centre of Dong Thap Muoi has been conducting its rice breeding program to develop new promising genotypes adaptable to acid sulfate soils of Dong Thap Muoi. They were named DTM (Dong Thap Muoi) in yield trials and demonstration plots. DTM 192 and DTM 126 were approved by MARD to be regionally released in 2010. There have been five promising rice genotypes, which were tested via VCU, DUS at the National Testing and Seed Certification Centre. Six locations in the acid sulfate soils of Dong Thap Muoi were selected as Thanh Hoa, Moc Hoa, Vinh Hung, Tan Phuoc, Thap Muoi, Tan Thanh districts, with 13 treatments and two controls (AS996 and IR50404). GxE interaction analysis by Eberhart & Russel model (1966) has been carried out to pinpoint that rice genotypes with stable and high yielding at both Winter - Spring and Summer - Autunm seasons were ĐTM 14-258, ĐTM 14 - 521, ĐTM 4 - 127, ĐTM 14-258. The most adaptive genotype was noticed as ĐTM 14-258.
