Study on testing cultivation of green onion with high yield in the Winter - Spring crop in Moc Chau (Son La)
To meet the demand for condimental vegetables used in instant products (noodles, soup...) for domestic market as well as for exports, we carried out testing the cultivation of Korean green onion with high yield in Moc Chau (Son La) in the winter-spring crop 2012-2013. The initial results showed that this Korean green onion is able to be cultivated and grown well in Moc Chau in the winter-spring season, the appropriate sowing time was in the late of November, duration for seedling was about 30-35 days, harvesting time was 90 days from transplanting, fresh capacity was about 6.3-7.3 tons/1.000sqm.
