Studying measures to control quick wilt disease and slow decline on black pepper by using the combination of shaping technique and biological preparations
The study on using the combination of shaping technique and biological preparations to control quick wilt disease caused mainly by Phytophthora capsici and slow decline caused by nematodes and soil-borne fungi on black pepper was carried out from 2012 to 2013 at Loc Ninh district, Binh Phuoc province. Result indicated that treatments applied 40g Trichoderma or 40g Bacillus or 1.5kg micro-organic fertilizer per stake in pre-rainy season combining with permanent trashing, weed removal by hand and mulching reduced respectively 50%, 50-100%, and 50% rate of slow decline, quick wilt disease and plant parasitic nematode populations compared with the untreated ones.
