Three vegetable sweet potato varieties KLR1, KLR3 and KLR5 have been approved for pilot production by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development from October 2008. For varieties rapidly expanding area and increasing in production of leaves top, some techniques measures in vegetable sweet potato production have been applied. The technical measures as crop season, density, fertilizer and leaves top harvest methods have effected to growth, development and leaves top yield on the KLR5 variety. The results showed that KLR5 variety can be grown all year round but the suitable crop seasons were in the spring and summer. In three varieties, the KLR5 variety yield is the highest with measures of 15 plant/m2 cultivated density, 100N-50P2O5-60K2O fertilizers and harvesting at top leaves far from the ground 10cm.
