Some characterizations for local rice in Vietnam
Chiem rice genetic resources has many features such as resistance to adverse conditions. However in recent years the area of rice occupies gradually shrinking due to many causes. But, the Chiem rice conservation are very need by the diversity. Through by use morphlogy direction (plant high, flag angle, lodging resist, number of panicle/cluster... showed that the Chiem rice accession have been very high diversity, genetic similarity coefficient change from 6 to 45%; at coefficient level 16%, grouping result EuclideanUPGMA has distribution 62 accession to 07 main groups. Chiem rice plant high change from 110.4-172.39 cm; flag leaf angle: 25 accession reach 1 point, 19 accession reach 3 point, 16 accession reach 5 point and 02 accession reach 7 point; lodging resist: 10 accessions reach 9 point, 23 accessions reach 7 point, 07 accession reach 5 point, 06 accession reach 3 point và 06 accession reach 1 point; duration from 181 days (Sai Hai phong) to 227 days (Nep rau) There are 05 accessions as: Chiem number 1 (5.239 tons/ha), Chiem loc Nghe an (5.526 tons/ha), Chiem line 4 (5.321 tons/ha), Sai Nam dinh (5.164 tons/ha), Tep Hai phong (5.526 tons/ha) have yield potential which can use for conservation and utilization rice gene.
