Research of drought tolerance gen transfer into select maize lines through agrobacterium
Nowaday, researches of drought tolerance ability and breeding drought tolerance transgenic maize lines were conducted in laboratories and seed companies on the world, with different levels, from basic researches to transfer gen application research for developing new varieties. However, in Vietnam have never been organization or institute published to create successfully drought tolerance transgenic maize line. The transformation experiments were conducted through Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404, EHA105, EHA101 which contains vector CaMV35S::ZmNF-YB, CaMV35S:: ZmNAC1, SARK::IPT carry insect drought tolerance gen to transfer to 3 select maize lines VH1, CM8, C8H9. The results revealed that the transformation system using vector CaMV35S::ZmNF-YB, CaMV35S:: ZmNAC1 carry drought tolerance and bar selectable marker genes (phosphinothricin resistant) is more effective than the system using vector SARK::IPT carry drought tolerance and hpt genes (hygromycin resistant) respectively. Two maize lines VH1 and C8H9 have transformation efficiency better than the line CM8.
