MỘT SỐ ĐẶC ĐIỂM SINH HỌC CỦA LOÀI XÉN TÓC ĐEN HẠI MÍA (Dorysthenes walkeri Waterhouse) Ở TÂY NGUYÊN

Since 2009 up to date, we focus research on morphological and biological characteristics of Dorysthenes walkeri Waterhouse as the pest on sugarcane in Centre Highland. This species belong to genus Dorysthenes, subfamily Prioninae, family: Cerambycidae, order: Coleoptera. The size of the larval 1 st instar, 8th instar were 4.78mm; 86.5mm; male and female were 57.3mm; 52.5 mm. The male are easily distinguished with the female content on the so very long (1.63 cm compared to 0.7 cm). Larvae with 8 instars, the time of larval period was 275 days in condition at temperature as 26.150C and humidity as 80.55%. Dorysthenes walkeri had 29% of individuals completed two years of life cycle and 71% of individuals completing the life cycle 1 year, mortality of larvae rearing in laboratory was 90%.
