KẾT QUẢ TUYỂN CHỌN GIỐNG ĐIỀU AB05-08

AB05-08 cashew variety was collected and selected from the cashew development programme for AGROSTAR Company (Cambodia) conducted by the Institute of Agricultural Sciences for Southern Vietnam (IAS) during 2001 - 2011. The main characteristics of AB05-08 variety are: 1) first bearing: 18 months after plantation; mean yield after 3rd year of plantation: 1,400 kg/ha, 8th year after plantation: 3,000 kg/ha, which is 18.5 percent higher than the controls as the control PN1 cashew variety is only 2,525 kg/ha; number of nut/kg: 131; nut weight percentage: 28.9%. AB05-08 variety has strong growth, medium canopy type, extensive branching, three bearing times in a crop. IAS would like MARD to approve and allow releasing AB05-08 cashew variety in Southeastern and high land regions.
