The results of research an selection hot pepper varieties for southern coastal central Vietnam
Hot pepper (Capsium Annuum L.) a members of the nightshade family (Solanaceae) is a herbaceous spices plant, a very important vegetables, with high economic value and widely used around the world. In Vietnam, the hot pepper is grown widely throughout the country. During the period from 2007 - 2010, the Agricultural Science Institute for Southern Coastal Central of Vietnam (ASISOV) collected 14 hot pepper varieties. Through our research and selection, we found some hot pepper varieties suitable cultivation conditions of Southern Coastal Central of Vietnam include: 9955-15 variety with yield 29.43 tons/ha and F1 207 variety with yield 18.12 tons/ha.
