Study on duration of cold preservation and Hydrochloric acid treatment technology of F1 hybrid combination between bivoltine mother and multivoltine father 09  ĐSK eggs

Abstract

Vietnam has a hot and high humidity summer, It is not suitable for rearing high quality bivoltine silkworm. Mean while, the production of mulberry leaves also concentrate in the summer season, so F1 hybrid combination between bivoltine mother and multivoltine father 09  ĐSK has been engaged to the application in order to meet the weather conditions and the need of eggs in the summer. To have the alternatives on best hatching eggs, the cross 09  ĐSK was studied with Hydrochloric acid treatment formulations at the spikes of white infancy and black infancy gives the best effectiveness on hatching rate. Results showed that white eggs store at cold temperature and less than 20 days, hatching rate reached more than 90%, while the rearing of progeny silkworm is not affected. The cold preservation of black eggs is short 90 days, 100 days and specific gravity of Hydrochloric acid treatment: d=1.100, hatching rate reached more than 80%. The preservation is long 110 days, 120 days and specific gravity of Hydrochloric acid treatment: d= 1.090 or d=1.095, hatching rate reached 93,0 - 95,9%, keep them good vitality.
