VT5 tomato is hybrid tomato (F1) which is developed from crosses D7  D15 by Field Crops Research Institute. VT5 is of semi - finite growth, growth duration from 120 - 130 days, intensivS2 e shape, green leave, mediate beam. The fruits’ shoulders look whitesh green, long rounded with fruit shape index I> 1.2, thick flesh, magenta when ripe, the brix reaching 5.0 to 5.2%. VT5 is fairly resistant to bacterial wilt and yellow leaf curling virus.VT5 is suitable for planting in Spring - Summer, Autumn and Winter seasons in the Red River Delta provinces and in Northern mountainous midland. The yield reaches 48 - 49 tons/ha (Spring) and 60 - 64 tons/ha (Autumn - Winter), which is > 15% higher than the control.
