KẾT QUẢ NGHIÊN CỨU CHỌN TẠO GIỐNG ỚT CAY

This paper presents the results of breeding hot pepper varieties in the period of 2007-2012 at the Fruit and Vegetable Research Institute that aims at gradually replace local OP and imported varieties. The study utilized foreign materials to breed pure lines for F1 hybrid combinations. The results of 4 promising hybrid combinations testing showed that the hybrid pairs KN7 (G15/G18) had several superior properties compared to the control and it was submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development for approval for pilot production. The variety is named GL1-1.
