An Ap Affairs started ratoon rice production since 2010, but it was mainly based on spontaneous, small and scattered scale. Rice area regeneration is increasingly being extended from 5 ha in 2010, 15 ha in 2011, to 2013 rice ratoon acreage of entire An Ap commune has increased to 110 ha. Models of regeneration in rice production in An Ap commune, Quynh Phu district, Thai Binh province has brought about high economic efficiency, the environment,and is of new orientation in plant structure transformation for sustainable agricultural development and effectiveness. The process of regeneration of rice production was spontaneous, its yield is unstable and there is a big difference, ranging from 60-150 kg/sao (360 square meters). Economic efficiency of rice production from recycled rice usually higher by about 1.5 times as the input costs are much lower. The production of ratoon rice can help to solve strict requirements of the seasonal time for winter crops and bring about higher economic efficiency than the production of transplanting rice. Besides, it also reduces pressure on labor in the period between harvests and fertilizer demand in the market.
