KẾT QUẢ ĐÁNH GIÁ KHẢ NĂNG SINH TRƯỞNG, PHÁT TRIỂN CỦA MỘT SỐ GIỐNG HOA LAN ĐAI CHÂU Rhynchostylis gigantea (Lindl.) Ridl TẠI GIA LÂM HÀ NỘI

Rhynchostylis gigantea belongs to Rhynchostylis genus is a beautiful orchid flower with honey smell and high economic efficency. However, this species has not been developed in Vietnam. From 2010 to 2012, reseachers in Fruit and Vegetable Reseach Institute (FAVRI) collected, introduced and evaluated growth, development ability of some Rhynchostylis gigantea varieties. The results have shown that native orchid varieties grew and developed better than introduced ones when they were planted in Vietnam condition. After three years after plantation, two native varieties as 'ĐC đốm tím 1' and 'ĐC đốm tím 2' had six leaves with the leaf length was 24.5cm and 27.5cm, respectively. The number of flowers reached 26.3 and 25,2 buds per stem with flower stems length were 16.8cm and 16.5cm. Two varieties have a natural flowering time were 24 days and 23 days, unsensitive with dangerous diseases and pets. Both varieties possessed white color with purple spot, sweet fragrance and attractive flowers for customers. Three introduced varieties as 'ĐC đỏ', 'ĐC trắng' and 'ĐC đốm đỏ' grew slowly. After three years, the average of leaf number were from 5.1 leaves to 5.3 leaves per stem with the leaf length was 20.3cm to 21.6cm. The number of flowers reached 21.5-24.3 buds per stem with flower stems length were 12.6cm-14.2cm. Three varieties have a natural flowering time were 19-22 days, sensitive with dangerous diseases and pets
