Field efficacy of bioproduct SH-1 in controling to nematode and some soil-born diseases damaged on pepper root

Abstract

Pepper is one of important products for exporting in Vietnam. However, the crop was serious damaged due to nematode and soil-born diseases. During some last years, a biopesticide named SH-1 had been developed. The result of field evaluation with the used dosage from 0.7 to 1.5 tones per ha showed that the product could possibly suppressed root nematode infection in pepper roots with efficacy from 72.6 to 85.8% after 3 months and reached to 70.4- 78.8% after 4 months of treatment. The efficacy in controling to nematode population in root zones of crop after 3 and 4 months of treatment was as 18.6- 62.6% and 51.9- 81.3% (respectively). The efficacy in controling to Fusarium sp. in soil was from 50.0- 61.5% after 3 months, reached to 46.9- 56.3% after 4 months and in crop root was from 17.7- 20.0% after 3 months, reached to 20.0- 24.4% after 4 months. Percentage of root samples infected by Phytophthora sp. was only 39,9 - 44,4% comparing with 56.7% in control field and percentage of plants with symptom of yellowing leaf reduced to 37.4- 77.3% after 4 months treatment. Use of product, it contributed to increase the crop yield from 12,0- 24,0% in compared with check replications depending on the dosage used.
