Adaptation assessment of superior rice genotypes to cultivate under Northern mountainous area conditions
The field trials for agronomic traits of the potential superior rice genotypes were carried out in two locations of Dien Bien and Yen Bai. The results have showed a good performance of rice plants, which grown and developed well in all locations. Their growth duration ranged from 115 to 135 days, with their moderate tillering and plant height of 115 to 125 cm. Those rice genotypes exhibited their moderate resistance to major pests and diseases with the score of 1 to 3. Two varieties namely GL201 and GL202 highly yielded as 10.9 tons/ha and 10.8 tons/ha, respectively. Their quality was evaluated as good properties of 20% amylose content and protein of 8%.
