Evaluation of physiological, biochemical characteristics and agricultural product quality of newly selected plant varieties
The effects of fertilizer levels on plant growth, grain yield and quality of some rice varieties such as PC6, HT6, N99, BM216, SH14, SH63 were conducted by the Field Crops Research Institute (FCRI) in Spring and Summer seasons from 2009 to 2010. Results indicate that fertilizer strongly affected on physiological, biochemical characteristics, grain yield and quality of some rice varieties such as leaf area index, net photosynthetic coefficient, photosunthetic intensivity and chlorophyll content in leaves at booting stage. The rice intensive group (BM216, SH14, SH63) has gained highest grain yield at fertilizer level of 140kgN + 140 kg P2O5 + 70 kgK2O/ha and the rice qualitative group (PC6, HT6, N99) has gained highest grain yield at fertilizer level of 120kgN + 120 kg P2O5 + 60 kgK2O/ha. The rice qualitative group has grain quality better than rice intensive group. Analysis results of agricultural product quality of some plant cultivars showed that almost of lines and varieties selected by FCRI have good quality and satisfy the market demand.
