ĐÁNH GIÁ ĐẶC ĐIỂM THỰC VẬT HỌC CỦA CÂY THỔ SÂM (Talinum paniculatum) VÀ THỔ SÂM BA CẠNH (Talinum fruticosum) TẠI GIA LÂM, HÀ NỘI

Thổ sâm (Talinum paniculatum (Jacq.) Gaertn.) và Thổ sâm ba cạnh (Talinum fruticosum (L.) Juss.) thuộc họ Sâm mùng tơi (Talinaceae) có công dụng làm thuốc và rau ăn. Cả hai loài hay bị nhầm lẫn với cùng tên gọi Thổ sâm, chính vì vậy cần có nghiên cứu để phân biệt 2 loài này. Kết quả nghiên cứu cho thấy cả hai loài có đặc điểm vi phẫu tương đồng và hình thái rất giống nhau, tuy nhiên có thể phân biệt hai loài qua một số đặc điểm nổi bật. Thổ sâm (T. paniculatum) có vỏ rễ màu nâu đen, cuống cụm hoa tròn, cụm hoa dạng chùy kép, phân nhánh nhiều, hoa nở vào buổi chiều, quả hình cầu, vỏ quả mỏng. Thổ sâm ba cạnh (T. fruticosum) có vỏ rễ màu nâu nhạt, cuống cụm hoa có ba cạnh, cụm hoa dạng xim, ít phân nhánh, đường kính hoa gấp 2,5 - 3 lần Thổ sâm, hoa nở vào buổi sáng, quả hình trứng, vỏ quả dày, kích thước quả gấp 2 - 2,7 lần Thổ sâm.

Talinum paniculatum (Jacq.) Gaertn. and Talinum fruticosum (L.) Juss. belong to Talinaceae family and can be used as vegetable and medicine. Both species are often confused with the same Vietnamese name, so it is necessary to distinguish these two easily confused species. The results showed that both species have similar microscopic and morphological characteristics; however, they can be distinguished by some particular characteristics. T. paniculatum has brown root, terete peduncle and paniculate cyme inflorescence, blooming in the afternoon, spherical fruits with a thin rind. T. fruticosum has a light brown root, triangular peduncle and cymose inflorescence with little branching. The flower diameter is 2.5 - 3 times higher than that of T. paniculatum, blooming in the morning. The fruit is ovoid with a thick rind and 2 - 2.7 times bigger than that of T. paniculatum.
