Genetic diversity analysis via 384 SNPs and rice straw digestibility evaluation of some Vietnamese rice accessions
This study aims at analyzing the genetic diversity of 64 rice accession from Vietnam by using a platform of 384 single nucleotide polymorphism markers (SNPs). It was found that there were 300 highly polymorphic markers, which were subsequently used in diversity assessment based on the creation of phylogenetic tree. At meanwhile, the main genetic clusters I, II, III and IV included eighteen, eighteen, nine and nineteen accessions, respectively, according to the phylogenetic tree. Fifteen rice accessions were identified as the highest conversion potentials of sugar from rice straw (42.5-48.1 mg of monosaccharide/g of rice straw). This study will facilitate the selection of breeding materials for the further genetic studies and promising lines, which meet the demand of highyielding varieties with high quality for bioethanol production.
