Factors affecting the farmers’ decision to grow grapes for wine processing materials in Ninh Thuan province
The research was conducted by a convenient non-random sampling survey method with 200 households and analysis methods such as descriptive statistics, comparison, financial performance analysis and the Logit function. The results showed that the economic efficiency of the linkage model was higher than the traditional model, the selling price is 1,210 VND/kg higher than the traditional model, the revenue was 3,395,000 VND /1000 m2/2 cases higher than the traditional model. The profit/total cost of the traditional model was 2.629 times and of the linkage model was 2.848 times. The factors affecting the farmers decision to choose a model of planting grape linking wine processing materials were: level of understanding of contracts for consumption of grape products for processing materials, participation in training, access to output markets, the difference in selling prices of grapes and in production investment costs, finance, new varieties, and educational level. Among which, the level of understanding of contracts for consumption of grape products for processing materials was the strongest impact factor.
