Studying on evaluation of a recent status of replanted coffee plantations in Central Highland
A symptom “yellow leaves - root rot” of replanted coffee trees is now very normal in the fields of rejuvenated coffee in Central Highland. It can be seen a common disease of coffee. This problem has been considering a key factor to evaluate a success of replanted coffee farms. By taking 120 field interviews of replanted coffee farmers, this study showed that 63.33% was a percentage of the successful replanted coffee plantation, and 36.67% of replanted coffee farms taken interview was unsuccessful. Based on the identifiable outcomes in the coffee fields, 79.2% of replanted coffee trees with “yellow leaves - root rot” symptom was assigned reason to nematodes and fungi, 5% was allocated mealybug, and 15% was not appointed what is a cause. Results of soil and root analysis in laboratory determined parasite nematodes (Pratylenchus spp. and Meloidogyne spp....etc) and pathogenetic fungi (Fusarium sp. and Rhizoctonia sp...etc) destroyed the root system of replanted coffee.
