Biện pháp sử dụng thuốc trừ cỏ Ally 20DF (hoạt chất Metsulfuron methyl) và thuốc Roundup 480SC (hoạt chất Glyphosate) đưa vào thân cây Bìm bìm trưởng thành qua lỗ đục cho hiệu quả phòng trừ triệt để đạt 100% trên những cây được xử lý. Sử dụng thước kẹp, thước dây để xác định khoảng đường kính cây Bìm bìm < 5 cm, 5 - 10 cm, 10 - 20 cm, > 20 cm. Liều lượng thuốc xử lý của biện pháp để nguyên cây Bìm bìm và đưa thuốc vào thân qua lỗ đục (cây bò lan mặt đất), với thuốc Ally 20DF lần lượt là: 6 g/cây; 15 g/cây; 22,5 g/cây; 30 g/cây; với thuốc Roundup 480SC lần lượt là: 100 ml/cây; 150 ml/cây; 300 ml/cây và 400 ml/cây. Chi phí phòng trừ là: 47.380.000 đồng/ha (Ally 20DF) và 34.480.000 đồng/ha (Roundup 480SC). Biện pháp chặt phần thân sát gốc, đưa thuốc vào thân cây qua lỗ đục (cây leo lên cây rừng), liều lượng thuốc xử lý với thuốc Ally 20DF lần lượt là: 3 g/cây; 7,5 g/cây; 9 g/cây; 12 g/cây; với thuốc Roundup 480SC lần lượt là: 50 ml/cây, 75 ml/cây, 150 ml/cây và 200 ml/cây. Chi phí phòng trừ là: 35.890.000 đồng/ha (Ally 20DF) và 26.960.000 đồng/ha (Roundup 480SC). Cả hai biện pháp trên đều tương đối an toàn với môi trường, hệ sinh thái bản địa, dễ thao tác thực hiện nên hoàn toàn có thể đưa vào áp dụng trên diện rộng.

The measure of cutting the trunk close to the base, and then putting the herbicides into the trunk through the perforated holes (for Merremia spp. climbing forest trees), the treated dosage with Ally 20DF was: 3 g/plant; 7.5 g/plant; 9 g/plant and 12 g/plante, respectively; and with Roundup 480SC was: 50 ml/plant, 75 ml/plant, 150 ml/plant and 200 ml/plant, respectively. The cost of this measure was 35,890,000 VND/ha for Ally 20DF and 26,960,000 VND/ha for Roundup 480SC. Both of the above measures were relatively safe to the environment and indigenous ecosystems; easy to manipulate; so they can be applied on a large scale.
