Research results on identifying suitable soybean varieties and their sowing density for spring season production on alluvium soil at Hung Ha, Thai Binh
Trials of seven soybean varieties and density for varieties DT26, DT51 were conducted on the alluvium soil at Hung Ha district, Thai Binh province in the spring season of 2012. The sowing time was February 28, 2012. The varietal experiment was designed in randomized complete block and sowing density was 30 plants/m2 . The experiment on sowing density was conducted by Split - plot design technique. Sowing densities were 15, 25, 35, 45 and 55 plants/m2 . The data was analyzed by IRRISTAT 5.0 software. As a result, three varieties namely DT26, DT51 and DT22 have been identified suitable for spring season by the research. These varieties have growth duration of 88-92 days and offer high yield (2,27-2,42 tons/ha). Optimal sowing density for varieties DT26 and DT51 at 35 plants/m2 produced highest grain yield and highest economic efficiency.
