Breeding fragrant and lowamylose content rice variety using molecular marker
Developing the advanced backcross population (BC2F2), with participation of molecular markers to select individuals carrying resistant gene, in order to cross back with mother lines (renewal lines), aim to stabilize gene of the low amylose content in homozygosity comparing rapidly with traditional methods. The molecular markers expressed clearly polymorphism, associated with resistant genes have been recorded on this backcross populations. Genotypic evaluation of promising lines of hybrid populations using SSR, which including: RM105, RM23662, RM24103, RM23877 (on chromosome 9), RM547 (on chromosome 8), RM249 (on chromosome 5), RM11125 (on chromosome 1), RM25181 (on chromosome 10). RM210 (on chromosome 9), RM511 (on chromosome 12), RM1125 (on chromosome 10), RM10713, RM10115, RM3252 (on chromosome 1), RG28FL, RM223 (on chromosome 8). Through evaluation of the quality of the populations recorded amylose and fragrant contents: only have line 6, and line 7 displayed the most markedly fragrant gene, among of 9 detective markers have 6 markers good for polymorphism such as RM105, RM219, RM23662, RM24103, with two markers RG28FL, RM223 providing good diagnostic gene (accounting for 85.6%), and especially the markers located all on chromosome 8 The lines continue to develop in the future.
